Competing in first big event in years!
In the weekend of 20/21th August the MissionXL event was organized. Both me and Charlynn competed in this big "Fun Slalom" event with approx 300 windsurfers. For me the first big event in almost 20 years, for Charlynn her first event ever!
Day 1
Super first day at the MissionXL event, fun slalom with 300 competitors! Charlynn finished her first race ever in the <14yr girls group. I finish first in raceboardstyle in the Masters group. :-)
Day 2
It was a nice, exiting, busy 2nd day of the MissionXL event.
I windsurfed 2 heats in the morning, both overpowered, first with the raceboard and 9.5, heat 2 with the Fanatic slalom 134 and MS TR-7 8.4, both finished 5th. Charlynn finished her first heat but could not sail the second heat because the wind was to strong, she is not using a harness yet.
We both qualified for the finals but did not have any power left to compete, so packed the stuff and enjoyed the day. Charlynn scored some autographs of the pro's.
